Cordless Lift & Lock

Blind cords can get tangled, and are unsightly and dangerous to children and pets.  Orange Beach Blinds always recommends securing your cords or ordering cordless if possible.  In the past, the cordless option on wood blinds didn’t prove to be a good solution, as wood blinds and faux wood blinds could be too heavy, and created a warranty issue with traditional cordless.  Often the blinds were hard to operate and “bounced back” from the desired set position. But now Hunter Douglas and Alta Window Fashions have introduced Lift & Lock.

Alta Window Fashions introduced the new Cordless Lift & Lock on wood blinds and faux wood blinds in 2016 after its parent company, Hunter Douglas, released the innovation earlier in the year. Similar to the traditional cordless lift on other wood blinds, the Lift & Lock from Alta features a smoother operation and a convenient locking tab to keep the blind at a consistent position (no more Bounce Back!).  Half the price of a traditional cordless blind, Lift & Lock can be added to any wood blind or faux wood blind for $15!
